Windows 2012 .NET framework 3.5 installation failed with error message “Do you need to specify an alternate source path”
Adding .NET feature on Windows 2012 return error message and to proceed with the installation, we need to specify the source location. The method which is used was installing the .NET framework from the Windows 2012 source ISO.
Insert the Windows 2012 source file and mount it to CD drive, in my case the ISO file was attached to CDROM and mounted as D drive.
Select the “Specify an alternate source path” from the .NET installation wizard
Specify the path on the installation Wizard
<D drive Source>\sources\sxs
Click Install and Select “Restart if needed” and then Close the Wizard.
